Six of Cups is a one-woman nursery, workshop, and boutique offering plants, herbs, flowers, handmade folk charms, and more.

At our market appearances, we bring plants that we grow from seed, propagate, and divide in our garden and small greenhouse in Hillsborough, NC. At our downtown Hillsborough location we carry a curated selection of low-maintenance, but beyond basic houseplants.

For those seeking green enchantments for their space or special event, we are proud to offer small-scale plant and floral design services for the NC Triangle Area.

Because we are small, we source flowers on bigger projects from our Flower Farmer friends in Hurdle Mills, Cedar Grove, Durham, and the greater Piedmont. Similarly, larger or rarer plants for custom installations may be sourced from local growers in Orange, Durham, and Person Counties.

A note about our herbs:

We believe plants themselves are teachers for respecting and communing with the non-human world, and Six Of Cups aims to offer those magickal and medicinal plants which invite seekers over the hedge.

However, we also respect closed practices and do as much homework as we can to avoid cultural appropriation or operating in bad faith.

While we cannot offer medical or trained herbalist advice, we hope to provide information on certain plants’ folk and ethnobotanical properties: the stepping stone towards seeing plants not as commodities, but the beginnings of a working friendship with the natural world.
